The Path of loneliness (Spirit of Love)

Earliest memories
Of small children all around
An adult now and then
Playing with other kids
One by one they leave
Lonely feelings creep in
Pushing happiness into a corner
As time goes on
The loneliness gets too much
A knife
Cuts the skin
Some of the pain leaves
As the red drops
I’m taken to a white room
Talking to an adult
About the pain
The loneliness still stayed
Unable to pass
Now I was put in a group
Others talking about the pain
I closed myself off
A wall put up
There comes a light
A young man
A volunteer
One with a sweet smile
And has a kind soul
Over time he broke through
Changing my heart
Showing me the light
Of the love of Christ
Showing me how to love
Even the worst
Which isn’t natural
One day he is gone
Giving his life for mine
Pain threatens
To overwhelm me
The loneliness looms
The shiny knife
In my hand
Hesitation
I looked at the blade
I see him in it
Even though the pain
I know this isn’t the way
Because of him
In his memory
I want to show others this love
No matter what it takes
Even if it costs my life
